Brief Introduction
Christopher is a partner of the law firm Landolt & Koch in Geneva. Landolt & Koch was founded in 2010 by Phillip Landolt and Christopher Koch. A third partner, Laurence Burger, joined the firm in 2015. With all partners specialized in arbitration, we consider ourselves an “arbitration boutique”, committed to providing our mainly mid-sized commercial clientele with personalized and highly skilled arbitration services at affordable rates.
Christopher has over twenty years experience in commercial arbitration, both as counsel and arbitrator. As arbitrator he has chaired numerous arbitral tribunals under the ICC Rules. As Co-arbitrator he has acted under the ICC Rules, Swiss Rules and the LCIA Rules, and as Sole Arbitrator he has been appointed under the arbitration rules of the ICC, the Swiss Rules, ICDR Rules and in ad hoc proceedings. He recently chaired an arbitral tribunal in a case under the Swiss International Rules of Arbitration involving a Chinese company and one from the Ukraine.
As counsel, Christopher has represented clients in arbitrations under various institutional arbitration rules in disputes concerning international sales agreements, agency agreements, dredging agreements, consulting agreements, distribution agreements, as well as disputes concerning construction and engineering projects in particular under FIDIC contract forms.
A member of the Swiss Arbitration Association, German Institution for Arbitration and the LCIA as well as the American Bar Association, Christopher was also Counsel at the Secretariat of the ICC’s International Court of Arbitration in Paris from 1991 to 1998. He is a member of the ICC’s Commission on Arbitration and ADR.
Christopher is admitted to the Geneva and New York Bars and holds law degrees from the University of Geneva and New York University as well as a bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
