Josef Caleff heads Schellenberg Wittmer's Real Estate Group in Zurich and is a partner in the Construction Group as well as the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. He advises national and international clients in all types of real estate transactions, including sale and purchase of real estate (single assets, portfolio transactions, sale and leaseback), financing of real estate acquisitions, contractor agreements and commercial leases. Josef Caleff graduated as Licentiate in Economics in 1996 and as Licentiate in Law in 1999 from the University of St. Gallen. He was admitted to the bar in Switzerland in 2002 and completed a master of laws program (LL.M.) at the University of California Hastings in San Francisco in 2004. In 2006, he was admitted to the New York bar. He became Certified Specialist SBA Construction and Real Estate Law in 2013. He is a member of the Management Committee of Schellenberg Wittmer. He is a past president of the real estate commission of AIJA.
