Mathew leads Harris Bricken's China entertainment practice from Beijing. An Australian-qualified transactional entertainment lawyer with more than 25 years' experience, Mathew has lived in China since 2009. He represents major Hollywood studios -- as well as American and other foreign producers, distributors and gaming companies -- in relation to their projects, investments and business affairs in China. He advises the UK Government on intellectual property and entertainment-related issues in China. He also advises Chinese studios and producers on their business and legal affairs in Hollywood. Mathew's work embraces development, production, production finance and distribution for motion picture and television projects. Much of Mathew's recent work has involved production of content in China for streaming in China and in the US. He has been described by Variety as a "game-changing" attorney and is frequently quoted in Hollywood trade publications and leading US newspapers.
