Brief Introduction
He was a graduate of Monash University Australia, with combined degrees in laws and commerce(major in accountancy). He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 8 January 2008. He is an alumnus of the China-ASEAN Legal Training Base organised by China Law Society. He has recently completed a legal training on "One Belt One Road" Initiative under the academy for international business officials, Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Over the past ten years, he acts for some of the well-known Chinese state-owned enterprises doing business in Malaysia, under the “Going-out" policy and Belt&Road initiative. In his early days of practice, he specialised in debt restructuring in the height of the Asian financial crisis.Subsequently, he joined a boutique corporate law firm with offices in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore where he acted in the acquisition of a controlling stake of a major utility corporation valued at nearly RM 750 million. His main area of practice includes corporate commercial, banking, property and trade mark laws. He now primarily advises Chinese enterprises in Malaysia on legal risks mitigation, investment laws, formulation of litigation strategies and dispute resolution.
