Dr. Pasit Asawawattanaporn
President of APRAG, Managing Director of THAC
Brief Introduction
Following an impressive career in law, Mr. Pasit Asawawattanaporn now serves as Managing Director to Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), the new ADR center set up to promote and provide world class service on ADR, Before joining THAC, from 1992-2003, he was a Judge in various courts. During this time, he served as a secretary to the new Central Bankruptcy court and presided over one of the biggest Reorganization case in Thailand. In 2003, Pasit decided to transfer to become a government official and took various offices in MOJ, including Deputy Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation. He later became Deputy Permanent Secretary to Ministry of Justice in 2014 and served as Director-General to Office of Justice Affairs in 2015.
For the educational background, Pasit holds Bachelor of Laws (Second Class Honors) from Thammasat University , LL.M. from University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law School, USA, Barrister-at-Law from New York State. He holds a Certificate for Advance Management Program from Wharton Business School. In 2017, he graduated Ph. D. from the Mahidol University. Pasit is also a lecturer and Speaker in a number of law schools in Thailand specializing on Bankruptcy and Business Law.
