Prior to joining SIMC, Mr Chuan served as Head of Compliance in IBM Asia Pacific in Singapore for 2 years and as General Counsel in IBM Greater China in Beijing for 7 years.  He was also formerly the General Counsel for Nortel Networks (China and Japan), and based in Hong Kong for 12 years. Before going inhouse, Mr Chuan was a litigator practising in Singapore for more than five years.
Mr Chuan graduated with a law degree from the National University of Singapore. He also holds a Master of Laws from the University of Hong Kong. He is called to the Singapore Supreme Court and Hong Kong Solicitor’s Roll.
