Kim Beng specialises in dispute management and resolution, particularly on complex commercial and infrastructure projects. He regularly advises and acts for clients on projects in the region, in building and construction, investment and joint ventures, finance, mining and minerals, power and utilities, oil & gas and telecommunications infrastructure and networks. In addition to representing clients in arbitration and other disputes proceedings, he often advises on project execution and implementation, working closely with project teams to achieve strategic outcomes and project delivery.
He is a Senior Accredited Specialist in Building and Construction Law, being one of under a dozen practitioners to receive this recognition inaugurated by the Singapore Academy of Law in 2018 for professional excellence in this specialist areas of practice. He is also Adjunct Faculty at the Singapore Management University, teaching the course on International Construction Law.
Kim Beng also chairs the Construction and Infrastructure sub-committee of the Promotion of Singapore Law Committee of the Singapore Academy of Law, with the mandate to promote the capabiltiites of legal principles developed under Singapore law on the subjects of building and construction, for projects in the region.
