Brief Introduction
Libin Zhang graduated from the University of International Business and Economics in 1987 with a BA in economics and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law with a J.D. degree in 1997. Mr. Zhang worked in many famous American law firms from1997 to 2010 as an attorney or a partner. He worked in Siemens Ltd., China as the head of Legal M&A, Asia & Australia from 2011 to March 2015, and he later joined Broad & Bright as a partner in April 2015. Mr. Zhang focuses on foreign direct investment, M&A, overseas investment, energy, environment and arbitration. Having practiced for over 17 years, Mr. Zhang has accumulated significant experience in representing numerous domestic and foreign enterprises in cross-border investment and M&A. Mr. zhang is an arbitrator at the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and Beijing Arbitration Commission/Beijing International Arbitration Center, and he also served as the chief arbitrator or arbitrator in arbitration cases, especially on the energy side. Mr. Zhang is on the advisory board of the Center for Global Energy, International Arbitration, and Environmental Law of the UT Law School at Austin; he is the Deputy Director of Peking University Energy Law and Policy Research Institute and a specially invited professor for the International LLM Program at Tsinghua University School of Law. He is also an adjunct professor at the China University of Political Science and Law, the Law School of the University of International Business and Economics and the Law School of Beijing Foreign Language Studies University and taught courses on energy law, M&A, lawyering skills, and common law, etc. He is a senior member of the Energy Law Academy, China Law Society.
