Brief Introduction
Fabrice Robert-Tissot has over 15 years of experience in commercial and sports arbitration. He has been involved in over 50 commercial and sports disputes, whether as counsel or arbitrator, under various rules, such as ICC, UNCITRAL, LCIA, Swiss Rules and the CAS Code and has acted as counsel before the Swiss Federal Supreme Court in several setting aside proceedings against arbitral awards. He has published several articles in commercial and sports arbitration, contracts, international insolvency and the enforcement of arbitral awards. He gives guest lectures at the University of Fribourg and Neuchâtel and is a frequent speaker at conferences in Switzerland and internationally. Dr Robert-Tissot holds a law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Neuchâtel (2002), during which he participated in an exchange program at the University of St-Gallen. After his degree, he completed a doctoral thesis in bankruptcy and contracts, summa cum laude, at the University of Fribourg (Dr. iur., 2010 – Walther Hug Award). The following year, he completed his LL.M. at Columbia University (2011 – Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar). He was admitted to the bar in Neuchâtel (2004), Geneva (2011) and New York (2013). He joined Bonnard Lawson in 2017 as partner and co-head of the arbitration and sports law department. Dr Robert-Tissot is also ranked as leading individual in Chambers Europe 2023: Sports, Who's Who Legal (WWL): Arbitration - Switzerland 2024, WWL: Thought Leaders - Sports & Gaming 2024, and Legal 500: Switzerland – Sports law: Leading Individuals.
