Brief Introduction
Professor Dr. Felix Dasser has been President of the Swiss Arbitration Association since the year 2020. He is a senior member and former head of the Dispute Resolution Practice of the Swiss law firm Homburger. He has more than 30 years of experience with a focus on litigation and arbitration of international commercial and investment disputes as well as internal and regulatory investigations. He acts as arbitrator and counsel in arbitration proceedings under various arbitration rules.
Professor Dasser is also a habilitated lecturer at the University of Zurich in contract law, private international law and international civil procedure, and comparative private law, and is frequently retained as an expert on Swiss substantive and procedural law in arbitration and litigation. He has been invited to teach at the Hague Academy of International Law on soft law and is a visiting professor at the China University of Political Science and Law on international commercial arbitration. He is also a long-standing member of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and a frequent speaker at arbitration events in East Asia.
Felix Dasser studied at the University of Zurich (lic. iur. 1985, Dr. iur. 1989) and at the Harvard Law School (LL.M. '90). He is recommended by the major league tables for law (Chambers, The Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation, Leaders League, Who's Who Legal, and others) and is admitted to the Legal 500 Hall of Fame.
