Monika Prusinowska

Brief Introduction
Dr. Monika Prusinowska works currently a Maria Zambrano fellow at the Faculty of Law of the University of Barcelona, Spain, focusing on the legal interaction between China and the rest of the world. She is also a research associate at the Oxford University for the “China, Law and Development” project, Dispute Resolution cluster.
Previously, for a nearly decade, Monika cultivated her career in China. Her experience spanned diverse legal and academic settings, including one of the largest Chinese law firms, a faculty appointment at the China-EU School of Law, and a guest lectureships at the Polish embassy in Beijing.
One of her key professional focuses is dispute resolution involving China. Her Phd thesis defended at the University of Hamburg dealt with the question of reform of Chinese arbitration law in China. Monika has been involved in work and research with various arbitration centers across the world, in China and beyond. She currently acts as an Executive Committee member of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) Women in Arbitration. She is also qualified as an tribunal secretary.
Monika speaks fluent English, Polish, Spanish, Chinese and German.
