Heike Wollgast

Brief Introduction
Heike Wollgast heads the IP Disputes Section at the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center. She oversees the administration of mediation, arbitration and expert determination cases under the WIPO Rules, and leads legal and policy developments relating to WIPO Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). This includes the development of ADR procedures adapted to specific industry sectors, as well as ADR collaborations with IP authorities and courts globally.
Heike is a German lawyer and holds a Ph.D. in European Community Law from the University of Cologne. Following studies and legal training in Germany, Switzerland and the US, she was a research fellow at the Institute for International Law in Cologne and practiced with two major law firms in Cologne and Berlin in the areas of IP and trade law. Before joining the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, Heike also specialized in international IP enforcement law and policy at WIPO.
