Brief Introduction
Fabio Toriello is Professor of Private Law at the University of Sassari (Italy) since 2005, where he teaches private law, information law and legal English; he has held courses at the Universities of Genoa (1999/2009) and Rome (2018/2020) (UniSanraffaele). He authored several publications on various subjects, including four books (on the legal position of foreign citizens in the European union from a comparative law perspective, published in 1997); on the integration of European Law through the case law of the European Court of Justice, publ. 2000); on the contractual models for cargo governance, publ. 2014; on the private enforcement and tort law remedies under European law, publ. 2018) and more than 100 essays on consumer contracts, product liability, comparative law, EU law, international trade and transport law. As a professional, he leads the firm Toriello LSN, founded in 1961 by his father Aldo Toriello, one of the Italian leading firm in the fields of Shipping, Transportation and International law.
