Dr. Daniel Durante is a partner at Patocchi & Marzolini in Geneva, Switzerland, where he practices as counsel and arbitrator.  He can argue a case and conduct proceedings in English, French and Italian, and has a good command of German. Daniel specialises in the resolution of disputes involving civil engineering projects (including off-shore drilling, pipe laying and port infrastructure), construction of machinery for plants and advanced technical equipment. Daniel has represented clients in a wide range of industries such as oil & gas, hydroelectric power, defence, optoelectronics, aviation, flavour & fragrance, pulp & paper, tobacco, pharma, luxury and finance. Daniel has been serving as arbitrator in proceedings governed by the ICC Rules and the Swiss Rules in Switzerland and abroad. In addition to his Ph.D. thesis on aspects of the Swiss law of contract, Daniel has published articles and papers on arbitration. He is also active on the lecture circuit as a speaker on arbitration matters.
