Brief Introduction
Since 2023, Lee Hoo-jong has been serving as the Deputy General Manager (DGM) at the Seoul branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), which has been recognized by The Banker as the world’s largest bank for 12 consecutive years.
At ICBC, Lee oversees the Front Office and collaborates with major Korean corporations and financial institutions on key business initiatives, handling high-level relationship management. He is committed to expanding RMB/KRW transaction volumes, leveraging the growing trade between Korea and China, and is actively engaged in enhancing financial exchanges between the two countries in response to the opening of China’s financial markets.
Since joining ICBC in 2015, Lee has served as Head of M&A and Infrastructure Finance, with a particular focus on joint projects between Korean and Chinese capital in third countries. Prior to joining ICBC, Lee worked at Shinhan Bank's Investment Banking Group, where he designed a variety of financial products and handled corporate marketing, building his expertise as a legal, tax, and accounting specialist in key financial products.
Lee graduated from Sogang University with a degree in Law in 1998 and has accumulated extensive knowledge in finance, including financial management and investment management, throughout his career of more than 25 years in the financial markets.
