Shin-Ichiro Abe is the Chairman of JIIART and has had over 30 years of experience as a lawyer working in both domestic and international dispute resolution (including litigation, ADR, mediation and arbitration). Professor Abe is a visiting law professor both at Chuo Law School, Kokushikan University (Master and Doctor of Law), and has years of experience teaching dispute, ADR and Corporate law. Professor Abe is the founder of Kasumigaseki International Law office (International Arbitration Chambers) and was formerly one of the heads of Baker & Mckenzie Japan’s departments.
Professor Abe has contributed to numerous publications and spoken at many domestic and international events in the fields of arbitration/mediation, corporate law. He speaks regularly at arbitration conferences and seminars across the World but has a particular interest in the ASEAN region.
