Mrs. Frida Altamirano holds a Bachelor´s Degree from Universidad Iberoamericana and her LL.M. in International Commercial Arbitration from Stockholm University. She studied EU Law at University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain and attended The Hague Academy of International Law. Since 2021, she acts as Secretary General of the Arbitration Center of Mexico (CAM) based in Mexico City.
Prior to joining CAM, Mrs. Altamirano was a member ot the Mexican Foreign Service and worked in Canada and the United States.
As lawyer, she has advised individuals and represented business clients in a variety of arbitration proceedings, including those before the Mexico City National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO) and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC).
She has been adjunct professor of Private International Law and Dispute Resolution at Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara and regularly participates as a professor of arbitration courses and speaker in Latin America.
