Brief Introduction
Ana Stanič is an energy, environmental and dispute resolution lawyer, a thought leader and lecturer at Techinsche Universität (Berlin) and UIBE (China). Based in London, she has for over 25 years advised states, companies and international institutions on strategic, geopolitical and legal aspects of energy projects, disputes arising in respect thereof and regulatory issues concerning energy transition. She is a member of the Court of Arbitrators at the PCA in the Hague and was appointed by the EU as arbitrator and sustainability expert in resolving disputes with third countries in 2021. In addition to law, Ana has studied finance and banking and geography. She is a great campaigner for the oceans and sustainable development and is working on numerous initiatives including micro-plastics, human rights and biodiversity. Having for 10 years been a trustee of Resurgence, in 2018 she became a trustee of Invisible Dust, a dynamic environmental NGO seeking to connect arts and science. She has been ranked amongst the top 12 UK Energy Lawyers (Power and Renewables) and Energy Lawyers (Gas and Oil) for the last 5 years by Chambers & Partners and as a Leading PIL Practioner by Legal 500.
Ana regularly sits as arbitrator and has been on BAC foreign arbitrator panel since 2015.
