Dr. HAO Zuocheng is an arbitrator of the Beijing Arbitration Commission / Beijing International Arbitration Court (BAC/BIAC), Deputy Chair of the Asia-Pacific Arbitration Special Committee of China Academy of Arbitration Law, and Executive Director of the Center for Law and Development at China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). He previously served as Director of the Civil Law Department under the Legislative Affairs Commission of the National People’s Congress (China’s top legislature) in which he participated in the legislation of, inter alia, Contract Law, Property Law, Amendments to Civil Procedure Law and Arbitration Law of the People’s Republic of China. He holds PhD in law and LLB from CUPL, as well as Master of Law degrees respectively from the University of Hong Kong, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and Stanford Law School.
