Brief Introduction
Marco Chung is the Group Head of Legal at CITIC Securities International and an international arbitrator focusing on PRC-related financial, private equity, M&A and shareholder disputes. He has served as sole arbitrator and tribunal member in Hong Kong-seated and PRC-seated financial arbitrations. His articles on arbitration have been published in China Business Law Journal and Law.com.
Before joining CITIC Securities International, he practised law at Slaughter and May in London and Hong Kong and subsequently held senior private equity and investment-banking positions at Morgan Stanley. He has also served on the boards of Hong Kong-listed companies as both an executive director and a non-executive director.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Marco is on the panels/list of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre, Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, KCAB International, Shanghai International Arbitration Center and the AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre.
He is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, Hong Kong, Australia (New South Wales) and New Zealand. His professional experience covers cross-border investment, financial services, private equity, M&A, shareholder matters and corporate governance.
