Pedro is a partner of La Nao Consulting, based in the Mexico City office. He acts as legal advisor to companies focusing on arbitration, corporate law and maritime law matters. He is also legal advisor to foreign companies seeking to establish themselves in Mexico, Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland.
Pedro has experience in international arbitration and has been counsel to clients or acted as administrative court clerk in arbitrations in connection with disputes in a wide range of sectors and industries, including: energy and natural resources, construction, infrastructure, maritime and corporate. Pedro has been involved in arbitrations administered under the arbitration rules of: the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”), the National Chamber of Commerce of Mexico City (“CANACO”) and the Arbitration Center of Mexico (“CAM”), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (“ICDR”), and the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (“LMAA”). Pedro assists clients in their day-to-day legal needs and provides advice on general legal matters to companies of all sizes (including international companies setting up in Mexico).
Pedro advises shipping companies and ship-owning companies on their day-to-day legal needs (including the incorporation, registration and operation of shipping companies, vessel registration, flagging of vessels and other administrative formalities in connection with maritime matters, including the registration of mortgages with the National Maritime Public Registry).
Pedro also advises Mexican, Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland companies in their investments and interests in Mexico, China and Latin America.
