Lawyer with a master’s degree in public administration and specialized courses in arbitration, mediation and conflict management, among others.
She is an independent arbitrator in commercial disputes and member of the most prestigious arbitral institutions in Peru. Member of the Arbitral Court in the Lima Chambers of Commerce. Delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators- CIARB.
In her arbitration practice, she has acted as presiding co and sole arbitrator and emergency arbitrator.
She has broad experience in both private and public affairs.
Held senior positions in government and served as under Secretary of Justice, giving legal advice to the Minister’s cabinet and taking part in the process of strategic political decisions.
She gained extensive practical knowledge in energy and construction projects in her role as General Counsel in Repsol Peru, for 14 years. Repsol is a top integrated energy company in the oil and gas industry.
She has been a professor for many years and now acts as speaker or panelist in energy and arbitration seminars.
Gianna has been a member of several board of directors and lead multidisciplinary teams.
