Lawyer graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) 秘鲁天主教with specialization in international trade law, investment, and Asian markets. He completed his master's degree in global business at the University of the Pacific (Lima, Perú).
He studied Chinese language and culture at the Mandarin Training Center (MTC) of National Taiwan Normal University and Korean language and culture at Ajou University (South Korea).
He worked as a legal advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru (APEC Office) and has working experiences in companies in Taiwan and Shanghai.
He was coordinator and professor of the Diploma of Asian Studies (mention in Chinese studies) organized by the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences and the Center of Oriental Studies of PUCP. He is co-author of the book "Relations between Peru and China" on the celebration of 40 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries (2011). He has also published articles and given conferences on the Peru-China bilateral relationship and on the protocol for doing business with China.
He was the founder of the Confucius Institute of PUCP 秘鲁天主教大学孔子学院 where he served as its director for a period of 11 years. Apart from widely promoting the Chinese language and culture in various areas, during this period he created three sinological research groups linked to the fields of Chinese law, literature and economics.
He currently holds the position of advisor to the Office of the Vice-Rector for Research at PUCP as responsible of the projects to strengthen relations at the university with academic institutions in Asia.
