Juan Arturo is Counsel at Hogan Lovells in Mexico City, where he has been for over 17 years. He specializes in complex litigation and arbitration, advising clients on pre-litigation strategies and dispute resolution across various industries. His practice covers domestic and international disputes, including commercial, administrative, and constitutional matters.
With experience in both civil and common law systems—gained from working in Hogan Lovells’ New York office and completing an LL.M. in London—he navigates cross-border disputes seamlessly. He has acted in arbitration proceedings under ICC, LCIA, and CAM rules, including enforcement and annulment of awards.
As part of the firm’s Global Energy Studio, he integrates legal expertise with market insights in the energy sector. In academia, he teaches Civil and Commercial Proceedings at Universidad Anáhuac and Arbitration at the School of Judicial Studies of Guanajuato’s Judicial Branch.
