Adriana Ibarra has a JD from Mexican University ITAM and post graduate degrees from ITAM, IPADE and Panamerican University. She is ranked by Chambers Global, Chambers Latin America, Legal 500 and Who's Who Legal as a recommended expert in international trade and customs. Adriana has been with Baker McKenzie for over twenty years and is the principal partner that leads the International Commercial practice of the Firm in the Mexican offices. Before joining Baker McKenzie, Adriana worked for the Mexican Government in the negotiation of free trade agreements ("FTAs").
Adriana's main areas of expertise include rules of origin, origin verifications and other matters under FTAs, tariff classification and non-tariff regulations, customs valuation, maquila (IMMEX) and other import related programs, customs audits and litigation, as well as and other regulatory and commercial matters.
