Professor Ignacio Tirado is the Secretary-General of UNIDROIT. He is also a Professor of Commercial, Corporate, and Insolvency Law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He has served as a Senior Legal Consultant at the World Bank and as Director of the Academic Committee of the International Insolvency Institute. His main areas of research include commercial law, corporate law, and insolvency law.
