Brief Introduction
Dr. Giorgio Fabio Colombo is Professor of Comparative Law, Ca' Foscari University Venice, where he oversees the programs in Japanese Law. He previously was Professor of Law at Nagoya University Graduate School of Law, where he was the Director of the Research Unit "Decolonizing Arbitration". He taught and conducted research in Italy (University of Pavia), Japan (Ritsumeikan), and Sweden (Uppsala). Prof. Colombo is a Fellow of the Roma Tre - UNIDROIT Centre for Transnational Commercial Law and International Arbitration and an Affiliated Researcher to the Centre de droit comparé et internationalisation du droit, Paris I Sorbonne.
Admitted to the Bar of Milan (Italy), Giorgio is Of Counsel to the law firm Pavia e Ansaldo, and has served as sole arbitrator and tribunal secretary, and is listed with several institutions (EDAC, HKIAC, JCAA, KCAB Intl., MIAC, TAI). Giorgio served as advisor and technical expert for capacity building programs in arbitration in Lao PDR, Pakistan, Thailand.
